The Assessor’s Office is responsible for keeping accurate data on all real estate and personal property in town and assessing both at market value.  Motor vehicle excise data is also collected from the Registry of Motor Vehicles and turned over to the tax collector. 

In addition, the Department handles tax abatements and tax exemptions from eligible taxpayers.
